Hey there, hi there Kathy! Thanks for stopping by
planDisney where you're always welcome as can be.
I'm so excited to hEAR that you plan to become a Magic Key holder. With so much to zip-a-dee-do these days in
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park, you'll love visiting again and again!
The answer to your question is
maybe, and I'm happy to explain why you may or may not be able to upgrade your multi-day ticket.
If your multi-day ticket is non-promotional and unexpired, you will be able to upgrade it to a Magic Key that is priced equal to or higher than what you paid for your multi-day ticket. You can upgrade a ticket right up until midnight of its expiration date.
Recently purchased multi-day Disneyland Resort tickets expire 13 days after their first use, so if it has been longer than two weeks since you first used your ticket, then, unfortunately, it cannot be upgraded. Additionally, you are not permitted to upgrade the promotional 3-day Southern California resident ticket. More
details regarding ticket upgrades can be found on this page, which has been a valuable reference for many Mouseketeers preparing to join Disneyland Resort's Magic Key program. The
Disney Parks Blog also published a recent post that answers
a lot of popular Magic Key questions.
I hope this is helpful, Kathy! Best wishes for a wonderful yEAR as a Magic Key holder. From
faraway planets to
superhero training facilities, you'll have plenty to unlock in the coming months. Thanks again for coming to visit us at planDisney, and we look forward to seeing ya real soon!
