Hello there, Sandra! Welcome to planDisney, where my pals and I are happy to see you sail our way!
You pose a great question as you prepare to set sail in a few short weeks! When you check in for your cruise, please use your current surname that matches your Government-issued photo identification. Please be sure that your birth certificate is an original or copy of a state-issued birth certificate. You can read more about the
travel documentation requirements on the Disney Cruise Line website.
It sounds like you are getting everything in ship shape as you prepare to set sail. Have you downloaded the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app? I love the character-filled countdown feature! Once onboard, the app will be your guide to what's happening and when all around the ship.
As you begin to ready your suitcases for adventure, you can take a peek at this handy
packing checklist. Please make sure that you keep your important citizenship and travel documents with you in your carry-on bag. You'll need those as you check in at the port. I also like to have a swimsuit for each member of my family in our carry-on bag. We eat lunch and then change into our swimsuits to spend some time poolside shortly after boarding. It's a great way to start off your vacation with a SPLASH!
Have a magical time!
