Ahoy, Tamera!
Thanks for sailing over to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! If you're sailing aboard a
Disney Cruise but unsure as to when the next trip with Captain Mickey will be, booking a placeholder cruise is such a great idea! You receive the current promotions offered at the time of booking without having to specify an itinerary or length of voyage.
It is my understanding that there are some blackout dates listed where you won't be able to receive the placeholder cruise benefits when booking your future cruise. I always recommend calling the helpful booking agents at Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 for further clarification with these scenarios. Also, policies and dates are always subject to change, so they'll be able to give you the most up-to-date information! The blackout dates are currently:
Disney Fantasy 2018: 3/24, 3/31, 11/17, 12/22, 12/29
Disney Dream 2018: 3/26, 3/30, 4/2, 6/29, 7/4, 11/19, 12/24, 12/28, 12/31
Disney Wonder 2018: 3/25, 3/29, 4/1, 4/27, 5/4, 5/11, 10/5, 11/16, 12/21, 12/27
Disney Magic 2018: 3/28, 4/1, 12/23, 12/28
Spending the holidays aboard a Disney Cruise is so festive and fun! Even if you choose not to use your placeholder cruise for a Christmas at sea, I highly recommend using it towards booking a
Very Merrytime Cruise earlier in the month of December! Nothing is better than celebrating the holiday season aboard Disney Cruise Line, especially when Santa makes a special stop onboard to visit with Guests!
