Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Katherine. I'm so happy you stopped by and even happier to hear you're planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation! And with a
little one in tow! You're sure to make lots of magical memories.
As a mom of three, I've always appreciated the many family-friendly services that are offered at the Walt Disney World Resort. From the
Baby Care Centers in the theme parks to the
complimentary cribs offered at Disney Resort hotels, Walt Disney World makes traveling with a little one a breeze! To answer your first question, requesting that a crib or Pack 'n Play be added to your existing Disney Resort hotel reservation does not
guarantee you'll have one available to you, as quantities are limited. That said, I've never made the request and not received one!
And yes, you can expect standard hotel-type curtains in your Disney Resort hotel room. These curtains can be completely closed to create the feel of blackout curtains, making your room nice and dark for a peaceful slumber. Speaking of a peaceful slumber, I recommend packing anything that ensures your little one sleeps well. After all, a well-rested baby means a well-rested parent! When my kids were babies, I would pack their favorite blanket, beloved lovey, and a sound machine that played white noise. We all needed a good night's sleep for our pixie-dusted adventures in the theme parks!
A stroller will be a must-have for your stay.
Strollers can be rented from all four theme parks and Disney Springs. You can save a bit of money on your stroller rental by purchasing a Length of Stay rental ticket! You can also
bring your favorite stroller from home as long as it's no larger than 31" in width and 52" in length.
I hope this was helpful, Katherine. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your Disney vacation! We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
