Hiya Amanda,
Welcome to planDisney! As Olaf says, “some things are worth melting for,” but I’m sure you are hoping that whatever you bring to keep your food and drink cool doesn’t melt, especially in the heat.
According to the
property rules, you cannot bring dry or loose ice into the theme parks or water parks. I spoke to a Cast Member, and while the recommended alternative is a reusable ice pack, you can bring ice in a plastic bag if you prefer for your cooler. Just make sure that the ice is sealed securely, because when you enter
Blizzard Beach, they will inspect your cooler before you can enter.
I hope this was helpful, Amanda. Before I let you go, don’t forget that your cooler must fit within the size guidelines of not being larger than 24” long x 15” wide x 18” high (this is even if they have wheels or not). Also, don’t forget that alcoholic beverages and glass containers (excluding baby food jars) are prohibited. Oh, and last thing, did you know you can ask for cups of ice water at
Avalunch?! In my experience, getting dehydrated in Florida can sneak up on you, especially in May. We like to get ice water from quick service locations as frequently as possible to stay hydrated. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F
