If I put all of our group (3 adult, 2 x kids) on one mobile phone with the Disney app / Geni+ / passes etc what happens if a couple some of the group want to go on different rides at the same time?

    Hi again, Neale!

Welcome back to planDisney, and thanks so much for asking us another question about your pixie-dusted family vacation at the Disneyland Resort!

Neale, you are able to link the theme park tickets for your group to more than one person’s Disneyland mobile app. While it can be easier for one person to be in charge of making the Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane selections for the whole group, you’re certainly not limited to having the tickets linked to only one mobile device. All of the adults in your party (assuming they each have a phone) can have their own tickets plus the kids’ tickets linked to their app in case you want to split up and visit different attractions at the same time. Another option is to utilize MagicBand+ for your group. These are wristbands that Guests can tap to easily enter the parks and check in at Lightning Lane entrances. They glow in multiple colors and pulse with vibrations, which make them an extra magical way to remain hands-free as you explore the parks!

Once you have your tickets and are ready to link them to your Disneyland Resort mobile app, the process is easy! After launching the app and logging into your Disney account, tap the three stacked lines near the bottom right of the screen, and then select the “Tickets and Passes” section. Tap the “+” symbol in the upper right corner and use the “Link Tickets & Passes” button to add a ticket. Lastly, either scan the ticket barcode with the phone’s camera or manually type the ID number for each ticket. This process can be repeated for each person who wishes to link the group’s tickets to their app.

I hope these instructions help answer your question, Neale. Please feel free to write back with any other questions you may have about managing your tickets, using Disney Genie+ service, or the Disneyland Resort in general as your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth approaches!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
