    Can I put my deactivated magic bands in my recycling container at home?

    Hi Janet! Timon and Pumbaa “thank you” for being so thoughtful about the environment around us! It’s nice to hear of your interest in recycling your MagicBands!

    The older version of MagicBand has a life of about 2 to 3 years. The newer MagicBand+ is rechargeable which makes it good for repeated use! Your old MagicBands can be recycled at the front desk of any Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Simply drop them off with a Cast Member and ask that the bands be recycled. You can set them aside until your next visit or even ask someone you know who might be visiting in the near future to drop them off for you.

    Janet, I use my old bands to decorate my home office! I purchased a large glass container to display my outdated bands. They serve as happy reminders of past visits to the Most Magical Place on Earth!
