Are there any purse or backpack restrictions?

Hi there, Lori! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Whenever we visit the Disneyland Resort, we usually have both a backpack and a purse, so I am happy to provide some guidelines.

According to the Disneyland Resort Park Rules, backpacks and purses must be smaller than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high. These items will be subject to screening at security checkpoints before you enter the Disneyland Resort area. I like to bring a small, cross-body purse in which I keep my wallet, phone, sunglasses, and other necessities like lip balm, mints, and a small tube of sunscreen. The backpack is usually reserved for the water bottle, snacks, a change of clothes for our little one, and ponchos if we are daring enough to go on Grizzly River Run! We don't like to be too bogged down, so both the backpack and purse are pretty small. Also, since you are allowed to take both on to attractions, you will want them to be compact to ensure a comfortable ride. Finally, if you don't think you will want to carry around your belongings the entire time you are enjoying the parks, you can store your items in lockers that are available to rent.

Please return to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other questions you may have. Have a magical day!
