Say cheese, Katherine! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question today; I'm a big fan of capturing photos on every vacation and
Memory Maker is a great option to ensure you don't miss out on opportunities for your whole family to jump in the picture! We love looking back at what the PhotoPass photographers capture and downloading and sharing our images during and after our Walt Disney World Resort vacations!
Katherine, there are three options for
purchasing Memory Maker, and if you're planning on only being in the parks for two days, you can save a little money by purchasing two separate One-Day Memory Makers, which sounds like your plan! You can purchase these online in advance (you will have to make two separate purchases to do so as the system only allows one purchase of this product in a single transaction), on the day of your visit, or even after you've returned home. Once purchased and linked to your
My Disney Experience account, you can choose the day you'd like to activate the product and all images captured on that day will be made available for download on your account.
Since you mentioned traveling with a group of 8, you can rest assured that as long as everyone is connected to you on your
Family & Friends List, you will be able to view and download all of their PhotoPass pictures as well. In fact, you can view and download for up to 25 connected guests, making this a great product to share even with a large group!
Attraction photos and videos are also included with Memory Maker; you will want to ensure that each guest in your travel party uses either a MagicBand,
MagicBand+, or a mobile device with Bluetooth technology enabled to ensure these photos show up in your My Disney Experience account. Some attractions also offer screens where you can scan your MagicBand or MagicBand+ after the ride to connect your photo to your account, so if you see these screens, you can always tap to connect!
Katherine, before I let you go, here are a few of my favorite tips to share to maximize the value of Memory Maker:
- Be sure to ask the photographers about MagicShots! These are fun ways they can add a little extra Disney magic to your pictures!
- Stop by the Disney PhotoPass Studio in Disney Springs if you have the time; they offer seasonal backgrounds and fun props and the downloads are included with your Memory Maker purchase!
- The photographers often stay out in the parks up to an hour after park closing; if you linger a little longer, you can often get some great shots with less crowds!
I hope this helps, Katherine! If you have any other questions before your visit, please feel free to come back to
planDisney any time! We're always here to focus on your question and see what develops!
Keep Smiling,
Alison
