Hello, Susan!
Welcome to
planDisney, and thanks so much for stopping by to ask your question. I’m thrilled to hear you’ll be bringing a group of students to the
Disneyland Resort soon. What a wonderful place to spend the day learning, exploring, and having fun!
It sounds like you’ve already heard about the Disneyland Resort’s
Disability Access Service (DAS) program. DAS is designed for Guests who aren’t able to wait for
attractions in a traditional standby queue due to a disability or medical condition. It allows them and their party (up to 6 people total, including the person needing DAS) to receive a return time for attractions based on the current wait time.
Guests may inquire about
registering for DAS in one of two ways. The first option is to participate in a pre-arrival virtual meeting via a live video call. A parent or guardian needs to register on behalf of a minor under the age of 18, and the person who will use DAS must be present during the video call. Because of these required logistics, it might be easier for your group to instead stop by in person at City Hall in
Disneyland Park, the Chamber of Commerce in
Disney California Adventure Park, or a Guest Information location once you arrive at the resort to register for DAS as appropriate for the students who may qualify. Either way, please be prepared to speak with a Guest Relations Cast Member in detail about each individual’s specific needs and necessary accommodations.
I hope this information helps, Susan, and that you all have a magical experience at the Happiest Place on Earth! Please send us any other planning questions you have as you prepare for your day in the theme parks.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
