Hi Suzanne,
Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you're getting close to your arrival at
The Most Magical Place on Earth! How exciting! There’s so much to look forward to during your visit. This summer is especially sweet, with a special offer for Guests staying at Disney Resorts Collection hotels, who will receive
complimentary admission to one of the water parks on their check-in day. Whether you choose Disney's Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, it's a refreshing way to kick off your vacation.
When purchasing
theme park tickets through the Walt Disney World website and choosing the Will Call delivery option, you may be prompted to select a Will Call date. That date doesn’t lock you into picking up your tickets that day, and in most cases, you don’t need to physically pick anything up at all. If you received an email confirmation or Will Call voucher with a ticket ID number, you can likely skip the trip to the ticket window entirely by linking your tickets directly in your MyDisney account via the
My Disney Experience app.
Here’s how to do that. First, create a
MyDisney account. Next, download the My Disney Experience app if you haven’t already. From there, open the app, sign in, and tap the menu (☰) at the bottom right. Select “My Tickets and Passes,” then tap the plus sign in the upper right and choose “Link Tickets & Passes.” Enter the ticket ID number or Will Call confirmation number found in your email, and your tickets should appear in your account.
If, for some reason, you’re unable to link your tickets through the app, I recommend calling the Tickets and Hotel Reservations line listed in the
Walt Disney World Help Center. A friendly Cast Member may be able to get everything sorted out before you arrive.
Once your tickets are linked, you’ll be able to assign them to each member of your travel party and begin planning the fun. This includes making any
theme park reservations, if required, and purchasing
Lightning Lane passes in advance of your visit.
Lightning Lane entrances allow Guests to bypass the standby lines at select attractions, minimizing your time in line and maximizing the fun. There are three types: Lightning Lane Premier Pass, Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and Lightning Lane Single Pass. If you’re staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you’ll be able to make Lightning Lane selections starting seven days before check-in. If you’re staying off property, the window opens three days in advance.
I hope this helps point you in the right direction, Suzanne. If you think of any other questions as you count down the days,
I’m always happy to help!
See you real soon,
Brent
