Hello, Christine!
Welcome to planDisney with a very popular question. I am so thrilled to see that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort later this year. You will be visiting during one of my favorite seasons. The holidays are always extra magical since they are all decked out for the holiday season. You will also be able to join in the 5
0th Anniversary Celebration with new experiences created just for this event. Do not miss
Disney’s Fab 50 Character Collection! You will find 50 golden sculptures on display in all 4 theme parks, paying tribute to our favorite Disney Characters. Can you find them all?
If you are planning to upgrade your tickets to include the
Park Hopper Option, it must be added to the entire length of your tickets. Unfortunately, you cannot just add this option to just 1 or 2 days of your ticket. Park Hopping is definitely worth it during the holidays because you may begin your day in one theme park and then visit another park after 2:00 PM. You can make your
Park Pass reservation for your first park of the day and visit any other park without a reservation for the rest of the day. Keep in mind that just because a park may not have any more reservations available, does not mean that it has reached capacity and is closed to new Guests.
I love to visit EPCOT in the evenings during the holidays.
EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays is a family tradition for us. We enjoy taking the
Holiday Cookie Stroll before enjoying the magnificent
Candlelight Processional. It definitely gets us in the holiday spirit along with visiting all the countries in the World Showcase to hear about their holiday traditions.
Did you know that you can also use
Disney Genie+ to make plans while Park Hopping? Yes, you can also select Lightning Lane return times for the parks you are planning to hop to if there is remaining availability. You can continue to make selections until the park closes. Genie+ and the Park Hopper Option are a great way to maximize your time while making short work of your “must-do” list.
Remember, no matter which ticket option you purchase, Disney Park Pass reservations need to be made as soon as you purchase your tickets to make sure that you get to reserve the parks on your list.
See ya real soon,
Andrea
