We're purchasing a small wheeled cooler to bring with us on our WDW July vacay. My question is where do guests typically store the coolers while in the parks? Do they just wheel them around all day? It has to be quick, easy access to be worth bringing.

    Hi, Kenda!

Coolers with wheels are not permitted in the parks in Walt Disney World. (From the Walt Disney World website regarding items that cannot be brought into the parks:  Suitcases, coolers or backpacks with or without wheels larger than 24" (61 cm) long x 15" (38 cm) wide x 18" (46 cm) high. (Coolers required for medication may be stored in a locker or at Guest Relations.)   For a complete list, read HERE

You would need to leave your wheeled cooler in your car or at your resort if you bring it along on your vacation.   You may want to look into an insulated backpack or tote bag that is roomy enough for your goodies but not too heavy.  There are lockers available once you enter the park if you want to store anything there.

I usually bring a small, soft sided cooler for some items to be kept cool, then in another tote have the crackers, snacks or other items that do not need to be chilled.  For drinks, you can get free cups of ice water at any quick service location.  Hopefully by leaving the bottled water behind you can lighten your load a bit!   Enjoy your vacation Kenda!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
