Hi there, Joseph! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you so much for stopping by with this great question.
Your granddaughter is one lucky little girl! I bet she's excited to have her very own Walt Disney World Annual Pass. I can only imagine all the Disney dreams that will come true for her over the coming year.
There are so many
benefits that come along with being a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder, including discounts on dining and merchandise. In my experience as a Florida Resident Annual Passholder myself, anytime I've used my discount in one of the restaurants or shops at Walt Disney World, I've been asked to present both my Annual Pass card and my photo ID. I was able to find some information on
Disney's policy for Annual Pass discounts that does indicate that the card
and an ID would be required. Having said that, one thing I know about Disney is that they always do their best to make each Guest's visit truly magical. Your relatives can certainly ask if they may receive the discount and be prepared for either a polite refusal or a pleasant surprise.
Joseph, if your relatives are planning a stay in a
Walt Disney World Resort hotel, they might consider adding a
Disney Dining Plan to pre-pay for their meals. That can be a big help with budgeting their trip. Also, most restaurants at Walt Disney World will accept
Disney Gift Cards as payment. You can find Disney Gift Cards at many retail locations around the country, sometimes at a discount. I've even seen them in my local grocery store.
I hope this helps your family plan their Walt Disney World vacation, Joseph. Please come see us again soon if you have any other questions!
