Welcome, Candice! It's lovely to have you here at planDisney.
While researching your question, I got so excited about your visit! I haven't yet experienced the
Lightning Lane Premier Pass myself, but you are going to love the flexibility of popping into available Lightning Lanes as you wander through the parks at your own pace. Truly, it's such a great way to personalize the magic just for you and your party.
When it comes to the Lightning Lane program, there are some nuances between what's offered at Walt Disney World and Disneyland, and we've stumbled into one with your question. At Disneyland, Guests can book the Premier Pass up to two days in advance of their park visit beginning at 7:00 AM PST. If you are planning a trip for multiple days, you would need to book each day individually for each Guest as it becomes available. When I looked in the app this morning, I can see that today and tomorrow are currently available. I know this may make for a bit more legwork on this end, but once those Premier Passes are booked, you can just enjoy your days in the parks! The program is still considered to be a pilot at this point with very limited quantities available for each day, so I would recommend setting a 7:00 AM alert to give yourself the best chance of locking in the magic. You can do a little prep work ahead of time by double-checking that you have the
theme park tickets for your full party linked to your account and that everyone has
theme park reservations for your park days. When the clock turns 7:00 AM, head into your
Disneyland app and you will see "Lightning Lane Premier Pass" and a button to "Purchase" on your home screen.
If you have Park Hopper tickets, you will be able to use the pass throughout both Disneyland Park and California Adventure. This is such a great perk, especially considering Premier Pass currently includes access to both
Radiator Springs Racers and
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, which typically require a separate purchase outside of the standard Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Additionally, you'll have access to unlimited digital downloads of all the
Disney PhotoPass photos captured during your park day. This is my favorite way to truly hold on to those memories. You can even take a look in the app to see where photographers are stationed to make the most of this opportunity. Head into the app and tap the teardrop location icon on the bottom navigation bar. Along the top of the next screen, scroll to PhotoPass and the map will reveal their locations for the day!
Candice, I hope this was helpful in your planning. If you have any more questions ahead of your visit, we are always here for you at
planDisney!
Magic awaits,
Tara
