Hi Claire and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Congratulations on being a part of the Annual Passholder family. I've been an Annual Passholder for several years. Some years I have chosen to renew my
Annual Pass within the renewal window and sometimes I have chosen to purchase a new Annual Pass later because it worked better for my future travel dates.
If you activate a new Annual Pass on December 1, 2018, it will expire on December 1, 2019. You will need to renew your Annual Pass then if you want it to cover your stay through December 17, 2019 (and on through December 1, 2020.) There is typically a renewal discount that may make this a good deal for you. You can renew 60 days before and 30 days after your Annual Pass expires.
I find my Annual Pass is worth it for many reasons including the special offers and discounts available through the
Passholder Program. I hope when you look at the numbers you will find a way to make an Annual Pass work for you!
Claire, thank you for visiting us again with another great question! I hope you'll let us know if we can help you
wit any other questions!
Wishing you many magical vacations,
Amy H.
