Hello Sara,
It sounds like there's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow that's just a dream or few away for you, and that's so fun to hear! I can imagine you're getting excited for all the magic that awaits you when you visit the Walt Disney World Resort.
I always like to recommend the Park Hopper Option for theme park tickets because it offers the flexibility to add even more theme park magic to your day.
In your case, Sara, if you have a theme park ticket with a Park Hopper Option and you make a theme park reservation to visit Disney's Hollywood Studios one day, you could plan to visit Magic Kingdom Park later that day during the Park Hopper hours scheduled to start at 2 p.m. What would affect the ability to park hop is the capacity at Magic Kingdom Park when you're planning to hop over to visit. Let me offer a few more details.
When you purchase the
Park Hopper Option with your Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets, you would be able to visit more than one theme park in the same day. Currently, Guests are required to make a theme park reservation through the
Disney Park Pass system only for the first theme park they plan to visit in a day. This is the availability you are seeing when you view the Disney Park Pass system calendar and the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar.
With a Park Hopper ticket, you would visit the first theme park for which you make a theme park reservation, and then you could hop over to visit another theme park when Park Hopper hours begin at 2 p.m.
You can use the
My Disney Experience mobile app to stay up to date on Park Hopper Availability hours. Scheduled hours for each theme park are displayed on the app's home screen, and you can tap on the "All Hours" link to see scheduled hours for the park, and this includes Park Hopper Availability hours. The My Disney Experience mobile app will also send out notifications in the event that Park Hopper hours become unavailable.
While you would need to make a theme park reservation for the first park you plan to visit each day, there is not a requirement currently to make a theme park reservation for other parks after the first park you visit in a day. It's helpful to stay up to date with the
"Things You Should Know" before you visit as requirements can change and can get updated.
Sara, I hope you find this information helpful as you make all your plans for your magical visit.
Here's wishing you lots of Disney magic in your day today!
Jerry
