Welcome back to planDisney, Sidney!
First, thank you for your service to our country. Mine is also a military family, and I know just how important together time is for our military families, and how much we treasure special memories when we’re apart. I’m so glad to hear you’re planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort with your loved ones!
I’m happy to confirm that you can purchase
military promotional theme park tickets for others in your party, as long as you are using one of the purchased tickets. I recently went on a big birthday celebration trip with my extended family and purchased military tickets for both my parents. The fine print on the
Offer Details explains how it works, but the rule is that the military member must be using one of the tickets. You will also need to stop by Guest Relations, along with anyone else using the military tickets you purchase, to show your military ID and have the tickets activated. Note that military members may purchase a total of 6 theme park tickets this offer year; any tickets purchased by your spouse are counted in this total.
Once you purchase the tickets, be sure to link them to each Guest’s
My Disney Experience account and make
Disney Park Pass reservations. I recommend doing this as soon as possible; I see you are arriving in June, and theme park capacity is reduced as part of the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort. You may check theme park reservation availability using this interactive calendar. Each Guest planning to enter a theme park must have a reservation, so plan to make yours soon.
Have an amazing time on your family vacation, Sidney! If you think of any other questions as you make your plans, please come back and see us. It’s always a pleasure to help a fellow military family with their Disney dreaming.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
