Hi Donald,
Thanks for joining us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! From my Air Force (retired) family to your military family, thank you so much for your service.
You do need to have active tickets in your
My Disney Experience account to make
FastPass+ selections prior to your arrival. If your local MWR/ITT sells
Military Promotional Ticket exchange passes (you may be able to order them and pick them up later if they don't have them in stock), you can enter the code on the back of the ticket into My Disney Experience to make your FastPass+ selections. You will still have to activate your exchange passes upon arrival to convert them to tickets but the passes alone will allow you to pick your favorite attractions for your visit. Be sure to bring your military ID with you for the activation; you can do this upon arrival at Guest Services at any theme park or Disney Springs and at any ticket window.
In the event that your base does not carry Military Promotional Tickets, I understand that you can call Shades of Green directly, order them, and have them shipped to your home (I believe you still must provide proof of your military status; this policy from Shades of Green is subject to change without notice). You may also purchase Military Promotional Tickets upon arrival, but you won't be able to make your FastPass+ selections ahead of time; I'm so glad to see that you're thinking and planning ahead!
Donald, you may also purchase
Memory Maker at a discount upon arrival at any ticket window with military ID.
Have a fantastic vacation and come back and see us again with any additional Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning questions!
Best Wishes,
Amy S.
