Hey there, hi there, ho there, Jennifer and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
After watching Disney Mary Poppins Returns, I want to run out and get a balloon. There is something magical about the way it floats effortlessly returning everyone to their childhood.
My favorite
Walt Disney World Resort and
Disneyland Resort balloons are the Mickey "Glasshouse" Balloons, you know the ones that have a clear shell on the outside with a colored Mickey Mouse head inside. Whether it is a "glasshouse," decor balloon or a simple Mickey Head, you can take these home with a little help. First, ask the balloon vendor if there is a place within the theme parks to deflate for air travel. Disney adds new services all the time. The theme parks typically will not do this but will refer you to two special locations at the Orlando International Airport. Both Disney's EarPort and
The Magic of Disney are known to deflate balloons. I spoke with a Cast Member at Disney's EarPort and he said they will do this at both locations but it is not a publicized service and not every Cast Member knows how to do it. If they will not do it at one location, then head to the other. When you get home, call around to balloon sales locations to help reinflate the magic.
Disney Dad Tip: Buy your balloon at the beginning of your trip to enjoy the whole time. You will have awesome photos with your balloon and it can even be used as a floating marker to find a stroller or other mobility device.
Jennifer, remember to "look inside the balloon and if you hear a tune there's nowhere to go but up."
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
