Hey Howdy Hey Chrissy and welcome to planDisney!
I am so glad you stopped by with your question on specifics about Electronic Conveyance Vehicles (ECV). I will be happy to give you a little more information as there is a size limit for these vehicles to get into the parks. Let's take a look at the Property Rules for more details.
Looking in the
Property Rules under "Prohibited Items", there is a point that starts with "Wheeled mobility devices...". You will see the specific measurements for ECVs which are 32 inches (92 cm) in width and 52 inches (192 cm) in length as limits to get into the parks. So unfortunately if you do have a personal ECV that measures 60 inches, your husband may not be able to enter the park as it is outside of the measurements listed. I will give you a couple of options to consider going forwards.
If you and your husband decide that the 60-inch ECV is suitable for him at home, that is fine. During your visit to Disney, you can
rent an approved ECV for your days in the parks which you can get for a single day or the length of your trip. The one catch for ECV rentals through Disney is they are available for your day in the parks, but cannot be taken outside of the parks. If you did need the ECV for the length of your stay for full navigation across Walt Disney World property, Disney parks specifically with
ScooterBug for this need. They offer ECV rentals as well that you can use for your whole stay throughout the parks and resorts.
Disney Resort Transporation can also easily accommodate the transportation of these ECVs so your husband will be able to navigate anywhere on Disney property with this option.
I hope this information and options helped with the planning of your upcoming trip. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out and let us know, we are always happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Nick
