Hey there, hi there, Mary! Thanks for stopping by planDisney! I'm excited to hear that you are thinking about planning a trip to Disneyland Resort.
If you were to
purchase tickets this year, in 2022, your tickets would be valid until December 30, 2023. If they are multi-day tickets that were purchased this year, they would need to be used within 13 days of the first day of use or by January 12, 2024, whichever occurs first. If you purchased your tickets through the Disneyland website, you will be instructed to select the dates of your visit and then the parks for each day of your ticket. This will result in you having confirmed
theme park ticket reservations as well once you have completed your purchase. This is because currently theme park ticket reservations are required along with your tickets for entry. Should your initial plans change, you can cancel your theme park ticket reservations and rebook new reservation dates when you have decided to reschedule your visit.
Once your tickets are purchased, you can then start the planning process of the details of your visit. For example, planning your
dining reservations. These can be booked 60 days out from your date. Dining reservations are not a must, but it is nice to try to plan at least one sit-down meal like this if you are staying a few days. For one-day trips, our family usually sticks to quick-service dining to make the most of our day since we love getting in as many attractions as possible.
Mary, I hope this helps you decide if you should go ahead and purchase tickets soon. If you have any other planning questions, stop back by again! We'd love to help you out!
Carrie
