when purchasing the dining plan, does everyone in the group have to purchase the plan?

    Hi Lesley,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for sending us your question.  I am happy to see that you are considering using the Disney Dining Plan, for my family it is a great way to enjoy some of the fantastic dining options available at Walt Disney World Resort.

When adding the Disney Dining Plan, everyone in your party will be added to the Disney Dining Plan.  Unfortunately there isn't a way for the Cast Members to add the Disney Dining Plan to some guests and leave others without.  A few years ago, my mother came with us to Walt Disney World and she did not want to use the Disney Dining Plan, while the rest of us did.  So what I chose to do was to purchase her plan and use the credits for my family, and we enjoyed several Signature Dining Experiences that require two Table-Service Credits.  If you have separate Magic Your Way Vacation Packages with two Resort Hotel Rooms, you would be able to separate guests wanting the Disney Dining Plan in one room, and those who do not in another. This is the only possible way for some guests to enjoy the Disney Dining Plan while others do not.

I hope you are able to come to an agreement regarding the Disney Dining Plan, Lesley.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help.
