Hi Veronica! Thanks for being our guest at planDisney with your question about using the
dining plan on your upcoming visit! One of the things I am most excited about in 2024 is the return of the dining plans; my family has always loved the ease, flexibility, and all-inclusiveness of prepaying for meals and snacks for the duration of our vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort!
With both the
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan and the
Disney Dining Plan, you will receive a bank of credits for each person on your resort hotel reservation over the age of 3 for each night of your resort stay. The allotment of credits is given as a lump sum at the start of your vacation and expires at midnight the day of your checkout, offering some flexibility as to when and how you use your dining credits. As dining credits are used, they are deducted from the total bank of credits. It is important to note that guests between the ages of 3 and 9 will be required to order from the children's menu, where available, and that meals on the dining plan are not transferable between party members, according to the Disney website. As the dining plans return to action, keep an eye out on the
Disney Parks Blog for more official details.
As you snack your way through the parks, experience some character dining or maybe some dinner shows, or even just grab a quick bite to eat in between your favorite attractions (don't forget to try out
Mobile Ordering to save time as you move through your day!), you can easily track your credits on the My Disney Experience app, or by looking on your most recent dining receipt, so it's a piece of cake to know exactly how many credits you have used and how many remain. Or, in other words, how many more Mickey bars or churros you can have!
Remember that you can make
Advance Dining Reservations 60 days ahead of your check-in date, and as a Guest at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you are able to book dining for the entire length of your stay 60 days in advance of your check-in date! Be sure to check out the
list of restaurants participating in the dining plan as you make your selections!
Veronica, I hope you have a magical vacation filled with lots of delicious treats! And speaking of treats, don't skip the Fresh Fruit and Nutella Waffle at
Sleepy Hollow in Magic Kingdom Park! Like the grey stuff, it's delicious!
Bon Appetit!
