If I am purchasing 2-day park tickets but only want to add park hopper for 1 of those two days, how do I go about doing it so?

Hi there, Norma! Sending you a cheerful planDisney welcome from sunny California! I’m so glad to hear that you're planning a two-day visit to the Happiest Place on Earth—that sounds like double the fun!

When you add the Park Hopper option to a multi-day ticket, it’s an all-encompassing enchantment for the full length of your ticket. This means for your 2-day adventure, the Park Hopper would grant you access to zip between both parks on both days, rather than for just one of them. Unfortunately, there currently isn't an option to upgrade a single day of a multi-day ticket.

But here’s where the fun truly begins, Norma! Opting for the Park Hopper on both days unlocks wonderful flexibility. If that sounds like your kind of magic, upgrading your existing tickets is often quite straightforward! You might be able to do this right in the Disneyland mobile app—just tap the menu icon (☰), select “Tickets and Passes”, and if your tickets are linked, you may see an option to modify or change them there. If not, you can give the friendly Cast Members at the tickets hotline a call before your visit, or simply stop by one of the ticket booths near the Main Entrance Esplanade when you arrive at the resort.

With that Park Hopper in hand, it's perfect for weaving spontaneous experiences throughout your visit. Imagine dashing to another park for a favorite snack or revisiting a beloved attraction as the mood strikes! With this freedom, you can customize your adventure across both parks. Indeed, that ability to customize is where the Park Hopper truly shines, letting you design your days around the stories and experiences you love most.

Here are a few fun ideas: On the first day, you could start your morning walking in Walt's footsteps at Disneyland Park, enjoying whimsical Fantasyland rides and a journey through Adventureland. Then, if a must-see show or a tempting dining reservation calls to you at Disney California Adventure Park in the afternoon, your Park Hopper ticket lets you make that seamless switch! Similarly, your second day could be all about thrilling adventures. Perhaps you'll zoom through Cars Land on Radiator Springs Racers at Disney California Adventure Park in the morning, and then, feeling a pull for classic magic, hop over to Disneyland Park for a parade or nighttime spectacular (subject to weather and availability, of course!). This way, you can experience the best of both worlds each day!

With a Park Hopper, even your tasting tour can span both parks! Imagine grabbing a new Celebration Matterhorn Macaroon at Disneyland Park, or hopping over to Disney California Adventure Park for fresh Mickey-shaped Confetti Waffles!

Ultimately, Norma, while dedicating a full day to each park is a wonderful way to explore, adding the Park Hopper for both days truly maximizes your ability to experience the breadth of magic available and follow where the pixie dust leads you.

I'm sending you best wishes for a journey filled with laughter, wonder, and all your Disney favorites. If more questions arise, you know where to find us!
