    When purchasing a canadian gift card and using it to pay for my vacation do they charge exchange rates and how do i plan for how much exchange.

    Hi Kim!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    Canadian Disney Gift Cards may be used in the same way as the Disney Gift Cards purchased in the USA.  If purchased in Canada, they will be loaded with Canadian dollars and the exchange rate to US dollars will be calculated on the day of use.  They can be used for character dining, and at other Disney-owned restaurants around Walt Disney World Resort, at the theme parks, Disney Resort hotels and select restaurants at Disney Springs.  Most shops at the theme parks and water parks will also accept them, along with merchandise locations at the Disney Resort hotels.  You can also settle your hotel account with Disney Gift Cards by visiting your Front Desk at any Disney Resort hotel.  If you visit the Disney Gift Card website here, you can check your card balance at any time, under 'Manage Cards'.
