Well hello there, Brittany. Welcome to planDisney!
Congratulations on the decision to become an
Annual Passholder at the
Walt Disney World Resort! I took the plunge last year and I have not one regret. The ability to visit the parks more frequently, access to
some great perks and benefits, and the ability to visit the parks more frequently...oh wait, did I already say that? There are many reasons to become an
Annual Passholder, but that one is my favorite!
Currently, you do not need to have your physical Annual Pass card to make
Theme Park Reservations or to purchase
Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Lightning Lightning Single Pass. However, to scan into the parks for the first time with your Annual Pass and redeem those Lightning Lanes, you must have activated it by either visiting one of the
Guest Relations locations outside of a theme park or the
Disney Ticket Center at
Disney Springs. And yes, when you do this, you'll get that beautiful physical card!
Be sure to sing "
Hakuna Matata" on your trip while you make your way to
Chester & Hester's Dinosaur Treasures at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park to pick up the
Timon and Pumbaa Passholder magnet. This fun little offering will be available from August 14 to September 22, 2024 (subject to availability). There's also a special
Rafiki Wildberry and DOLE Whip Orange Float available for purchase at
Trilo-Bites and
a Disney PhotoPass opportunity by the Discovery River between Africa and Asia, both exclusively for Passholders (also from August 14 to September 22, 2024, subject to availability, and at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park)! These are just some of the little extra
perks of being a Passholder. Besides being able to go to the parks more frequently. I don't know if I mentioned that yet!
Brittany, enjoy your upcoming visit and a year of magic ahead of you. If you have any other questions,
I've got you!
Wishing you no worries for the rest of your days,
Matt
