When purchasing an annual pass, how long do you have to activate it? Is there a time limit or expiration date to activate once purchased?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Ellen!

I'm so excited to hEAR that you're considering becoming a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder! The benefits that come with having an Annual Pass often make it worth it to upgrade, especially since only one person in your family needs to have one to take advantage of the discounts. Check out the Special Offers page for the current Passholder Offers on rooms at Disney Resort hotels. Also, Annual Passholders receive unlimited downloads of their PhotoPass photos, which really sweetens the deal for me!

I just purchased an Annual Pass for my husband's birthday gift, and the current expiration date is December 31, 2030 (hopefully he doesn't take that long to use it)! If you do decide to take the plunge, this will give you plenty of time to activate your Pass and enjoy a yEAR of magic in the Parks. Once activated, you will have 366 days of fun, and your My Disney Experience Account will automatically update to reflect the number of days remaining.

Walt Disney World Annual Passes can be purchased in person at any Guest Relations window (including the new location at Disney Springs), online through the Walt Disney World website, or by calling (407) 939-7679. Make sure to link it to your My Disney Experience Account so that you can make FastPass+ selections before your trip.

Have fun planning your magical vacation, Ellen! We hope to see you again real soon!

Hi, I'm Eean from Pennsylvania!  I may have an unusual name, but my passion for Disney is not unique.  It’s amazing how many people you can find who love talking about, "The Most Magical Place On Earth!"  I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at middle school basketball games waiting for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
