Hey howdy hey Jacqueline and welcome to planDisney!
I have been to Walt Disney World Resort several times with my family and it is truly a Magical destination. As a big fan of Walt Disney himself, I cannot wait to share the experience with my family, walking the park that Walt himself did over at Disneyland Resort in California. Both Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World Resort and in Disneyland Resort share so many similarities but are very different as well. When it comes to purchasing tickets for each, unfortunately they are non transferable nor are refundable per the
terms and conditions of the tickets, but hold on as we work through some options for you.
First off, if you have unused tickets, you can still transfer them to another family or friend on your
My Disney Experience Account. Simply log in and go to the "My Reservation" section, then select "Tickets and Passes". After that, you will select the ticket you want to reassign and then click on "Reassign Ticket". When you bring up these tickets, you will also note the expiration date on them. This is the date the tickets expire, however at Walt Disney World Resort, you most often can have the money paid for the tickets applied to a ticket at a later date by calling (407) 934-7639 and speaking to a Cast Member to help you through this process.
The second option you have is calling Walt Disney World Ticket office at the same number above. Considering when you bought the tickets and with the ever changing landscape of Covid-19, the terms and conditions state that tickets are non transferable or refundable, however, it is on a case by case basis that pixie dust may be utilized at times for certain situations. Because of your circumstances, a Cast Member might be able to help you out in this situation and would be worth a phone call if a trip to Walt Disney World Resort is not practical for you.
I hope one of these options works out for you and your family. Hopefully soon we will also have the honor of welcoming you to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Until then, stay safe and keep those questions coming.
Regards,
Nick
