Welcome to planDisney, Christopher!
Mine is a military family too, and we are so grateful for the fantastic
military discounts we can enjoy when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. My husband is currently deployed overseas, so I know just how important together time is for our military members.
I have good news for you, Christopher: you CAN link your exchange certificates in your My Disney Experience account, making it possible to make
Disney Park Pass reservations for every member of your party with a linked ticket. If you take a look at your exchange certificates, you’ll see that each one has a barcode number on the back – that’s the number to enter in
My Disney Experience. In the My Disney Experience app, select Tickets and Passes, and then the “plus” symbol on the top right. Then, select “Link Tickets and Passes.” I find that typing the barcode number works better than trying to scan the barcode. Once you’ve done that, you can assign your Exchange Certificates to each member of your party. Once they are linked, you’ll be ready to make your Disney Park Pass Reservations.
If you’ve tried this and still not having success, I have a few tips. The first is to try on a desktop computer if you’re not having luck in the smartphone app. If that still doesn’t work, call the
Existing Tickets phone number at (407) 566-4985; they will be able to get it all sorted out.
When you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort, you’ll need to activate your exchange certificates by showing your military ID and the exchange certificates at a
Guest Relations location, either outside the theme parks or at Disney Springs. Once you’ve activated the exchange certificates, you’ll be all set to let the magic begin!
Christopher, on behalf of my fellow Panelists, I would like to extend my gratitude for your service to your country. I hope you have a fantastic visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth. As you make your plans and dream about your trip, please come back and see us if you have any further questions. It’s a pleasure to help a fellow military family!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
