I purchased waterpark tickets for my son and his girlfriend. How do I get the digital tickets to them? If I send them the email confirmation, can they get into Typhoon Lagoon with the barcode on the email?

Hiya, Doris! Welcome to planDisney. Your son and his girlfriend are sure to say "cowabunga!" when they learn of your special gift! I can't think of a better way to spend a day than taking in the sights, sounds, and splashes at the water park. Let's talk about how to assign these tickets to your intended recipients.

You can use the My Disney Experience app or Walt Disney World Resort website to set up your Family & Friends list and assign tickets. Navigate to the Family & Friends list and ensure you see your son and his girlfriend on your list. If you need to add them, no worries! You can search for them using their first name, last name, and email or phone number. If they don't have a Disney account of their own, you can invite them to create one on this page as well, just make sure you have a good email for them both.

Once your list is squared away, you can link the tickets to your Disney account. Grab the confirmation number from the email you received when you purchased the tickets, and go to the "My Plans and Tickets" section of your account. Once there, hover over "Park Tickets" in the top middle, and click "Link Tickets" when it appears. Enter the ID number and the tickets will appear in your account, huzzah! Now there will be an option on the right hand side to either "Match" or "Assign" the ticket to your intended guest from the Friends & Family list.

If you know when your son and his girlfriend are planning to travel, they may be able to take advantage of a free water park day! If they'll be staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel between May 26 and September 8, 2026, they can visit a water park for free on their check-in date. How sweet is that? Even better, both water parks are scheduled to be open during this time, so they will have their choice of either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach. If this is the case, you can apply the value of your ticket to a future ticket purchase, have them use the tickets outside of the free visit travel window, or they can use your tickets for another day during their trip aside from check-in day. One quick reminder: water park tickets must be used within one year of purchase, so make sure you touch base with your guests to see what their plans will be.

Ok, Doris, go forth and spread joy to your son and his girlfriend! I hope they have the best time in the pools and on the slides in the water parks. Don't be a stranger to us here at planDisney! We're here to help you make your Disney vacation planning a little bit easier.

    Stay magical,
    Scott
