Hi there, Angela!
Welcome to
planDisney! I'm so sorry we're connecting under these circumstances, but I'm more than happy to help with your question. Let's dive right in!
First, I'm sorry to hear about your husband's injury. I know you were looking forward to your visit to
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park this past weekend, but if you couldn't make a splash, don't worry! Your water park tickets will retain their value even after they expire or disappear from your
My Disney Experience mobile app. You can apply what you paid to new tickets whenever you're ready to make a splash!
You can always
call Walt Disney World and speak with a Cast Member regarding a potential refund. However, it's important to note that both
theme park and
water park tickets are typically
non-refundable. I've been in a similar situation. My son and I bought water park tickets for our spring break a few years back, but the weather didn't cooperate, and the parks were closed. Our tickets expired before we could make a return trip, but when we were ready to slide again (two spring breaks later), we stopped by the ticketing window at Typhoon Lagoon on our way in. The Cast Member found our unused tickets in My Disney Experience and upgraded them to be valid for our new visit. The whole process took less than five minutes, and before we knew it, we were zipping down
Crush 'n' Gusher and making waves at the
Surf Pool.
I hope this is helpful, Angela. Best wishes for your husband's speedy recovery, and may you enjoy a day of Disney water park fun very soon.
Just keep swimming,
Betsy
