Greetings, Shannon and welcome to
planDisney with this excellent question!
I apologize for your great inconvenience in securing a
Disneyland Resort Theme Park Reservation, thank you for consulting planDisney.
In my opinion, one of the main reasons this current Theme Park Reservation system is in place is to manage capacity levels during these unprecedented times, and while it may seem a bit easier to wish that we could book our theme park first, some people may then lapse in purchasing their ticket/s thereby taking the place away from those that are ready to purchase a ticket or use their annual pass. This way, the system accommodates everyone in the best way possible. Therefore it is recommended to refer to the Disneyland Resort
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar with a few dates in mind to check for openings and then proceed to purchase a theme park ticket.
My advice is to use your
Disneyland app, to secure a reservation, since your ticket is linked, by tapping the round “+” button at the bottom center of your Home Screen that will pull up the “Make a Park Reservation” button.
Shannon, if your heart is set on a date, please keep refreshing the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar as people's plans change and a spot may open up for you. I will keep my fingers crossed for you as I understand the need to visit on a particular day for a variety of reasons. If you still cannot secure your desired date, please contact
Disneyland Resort “Tickets” for assistance. The knowledgeable and friendly Cast Members will help you out in time for you to visit the Disneyland Resort to enjoy many
Special Events & Tours such as the Disney California Food & Wine Festival.
It was a pleasure assisting you, Shannon, I really understand your situation and I wish you every success in securing the date you wish, thank you kindly for reaching out to planDisney and we look forward to providing any further assistance with your planning.
Best Disney Wishes ~ Jacqueline
