I have purchased a vacation package to Disneyland for 4 people. Now a 5th person wants to join for park days. How can I add them to my park reservation and my genie plus so they can join us at the parks and lightning lane reservations?

    Hey Howdy Hey, Vilma!

You are as welcome as can be here at planDisney! It looks like your Disneyland vacation is just around the riverbend.  So much magic awaits you, especially this year celebrating 100 years of Disney!

Vilma, typically when you have a Vacation Package, everything in that package is assigned to everyone on your reservation. This includes hotel rooms, tickets, etc.  So, if you want to add this Guest to your Vacation Package, you would need to contact the Reservations team to add them. By adding them to your Vacation Package, they would get everything you all have in your package, including the hotel, same tickets and would be able to take advantage of Early Entry as a Disney Resort Hotel Guest.  It isn't possible to separate out theme park tickets from the Vacation Package and only add a Guest to that piece without adding them to everything.

Now, if you add the Guest to your Vacation Package, they will still need to make a Theme Park Reservation, even though they will get their tickets with the Vacation Package. They won't be automatically added your Theme Park Reservation, because every ticket needs a Theme Park Reservation. But, as long as there is still availability, they would be able to do this and join you in the parks and enjoy everything included in your Vacation Package.

If you just want to link their individual ticket(s) to your account for Genie+ reservations, and not put them on your package, you can do that. First, they would need to make their own Theme Park Reservation and purchase their ticket separately.  If they are not staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, they won't be able to enter the parks early but they can enter once the park opens.  Then, you would need to link their ticket to your account, which can be done on the Disneyland app by following these steps:

    1.  Click on the three lines on the bottom right corner of the app and then click on "Ticket and Passes".

    2.  Here you can add the Guest's tickets to your account.

From here, you should be able to add them as Guests to any of your Genie+ selections and include them on any Dining Reservations. One thing to note is that it is okay to have tickets on more than one account. So if your family has their tickets already on another account, you can still add their tickets to your account as well.

I hope this helps you, Vilma! If you have any additional Disney vacation planning questions, stop back and see us. At planDisney, we are your favorite deputies and we never leave a toy behind.  You've always got a friend in me!

    Happy Trails,
    Keri
