Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Brianne! I have a picky eater in my family, too, so I’m well versed in making some requests at
Disney Dining locations.
Most table service restaurants I’ve visited have offered one of the three melons (if not a medley of all three) on the menu as a side item. Our family has often requested various sides to accompany our meals or ordered them alone to our table. In fact, our quick service locations have also had them in the coolers for a quick snack when we’ve needed it. My daughter adores all fruits, and asked for a bowl of blueberries at Chef Mickey’s! When you call the
Advanced Dining Reservations line, you can always check with the Cast Member that this item is available on the menu, and if it is not (you can always check menus online, as well, on each of the pages) you may want to choose another location. For instance, we had a blast at
Mickey’s Backyard BBQ this summer, and they had plenty of watermelon slices, but there was not other melons available. You may come across something like this at one or two locations.
If the panel can help you with another vacation issue, please let me know. We’d be happy to help! ~ Lindsey P.
