We purchased our vac. using mult. gift cards as part of the Sam's Club offer. Often, Disney deals are avail. as your departure date gets closer. How would this disc. be credited if gift cards were initially used? I was just curious. Thanks!

    Hi Francie!

While I haven't paid a vacation using gift cards, I have completely paid a vacation package and a room only package months in advance.  If I paid with a credit card, then Disney would refund my credit card.  The times I paid with a check, Disney would credit my account.  So for example, I would show up at Walt Disney World with a negative balance on my room that could then be used to help pay for meals, souvenirs, etc.

It sounds like you made your reservation directly with Disney as opposed to a travel agent.  Thus I recommend asking Disney when you call to have a discount applied.  It's very important that you call Disney if you are interested in having a discount applied towards your trip, because Disney won't do it automatically!  Also, keep in mind that you are only allowed to use one discount, so you can't stack up discounts such as a room only discount, followed by Free Dining, etc.

Enjoy planning your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation and write back if you have any more questions!
