I purchased and used Magic+ bands for a Disneyland trip last year, I am headed to Disneyland in May of this year. Can I use those same magic bands and if so, how do I sync the em up to the new trip?

    Hiya, Tiffany!

You betcha! Your MagicBand+ bands are reusable and flexible. My family and I use and reuse our MagicBand+ devices at the Disneyland Resort in California and at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. We even use them on the ships of the Disney Cruise Line, where they are called DisneyBand+.

To use your MagicBand+ at the Disneyland Resort, open the Disneyland mobile app and scroll down to MagicBand+ under the Account section of the ☰ feature menu. Use the '+' button on the upper right-hand corner to link a new MagicBand+. Or if you already have a band linked, tap "Assign to a Ticket or Magic Key pass" to associate that band with one of the Theme Park tickets you have already purchased and linked to your account. Using the Disneyland mobile app links a MagicBand+ to a particular My Disney account. Once linked to an account, that band may be associated with any ticket or pass that is also linked to that account.

Setting up your MagicBand+ devices takes just a few simple steps, following the on-screen instructions. If any issues come up, you may contact a Disneyland Resort Cast Member or stop by a Guest Relations location during your visit to the parks. You're also welcome to visit us again here at planDisney. It's our pleasure to help fellow Guests make the most of your Disney Parks experiences.

Using the Walt Disney World My Disney Experience mobile app does things a little differently. The Disney World app links a MagicBand+ to a particular Guest rather than to a particular account. Sometimes, we have found that hopping back and forth between Disney World and the Disneyland Resort requires us to re-link some of our bands to the respective app, especially when we typically use only my account for Disneyland Resort visits and multiple accounts for Disney World visits.

Tony's Tip: You can enhance your MagicBand+ experience at the Disneyland Resort even more using the Play Disney Parks app. My favorite way to use MagicBand+ with the Play Disney Parks app is tracking credits I earn while playing the Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters game in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.

I hope you have a magical time at The Happiest Place on Earth, Tiffany!
