I purchased a two-day Florida resident pass for march 17 and 18. On the website they there is availability, but they have blocked out those days. How can I upgrade my ticket to be able to book a reservation for those days?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Jenna!

Thank you so much for sending us your question, and welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet! As a Canadian, I cannot tell you how jealous I am of my fellow Florida resident friends. Sunny days, Disney perks, and did I mention no snow? Sounds like paradise to me!

Now let's talk about your tickets, Jenna! The variety of tickets Disney offers is amazing to find what truly fits your needs best, but it can also get confusing at times. Luckily, the short answer to your question is that yes, you can upgrade your Florida resident tickets! Indeed, you can use the price you put towards your Florida resident tickets as a credit to purchase theme park tickets of equal or higher value. In this case, you can upgrade your Florida resident ticket to a regular theme park ticket which will not have blockout dates. Typically, depending on the type of ticket you have, you would be able to upgrade your ticket through your My Disney Experience account. To check if you can upgrade your tickets online, log into your My Disney Experience account, click on "My Plans," and then on "Tickets and Memory Maker." If you have a "Change Ticket" option, that is where you would be able to upgrade your tickets. However, this case would probably require the help of a Cast Member. Therefore, I would highly recommend either calling a Cast Member or going to a ticketing window or booth at the Walt Disney World Resort. Cast Members truly are true-life magic makers, and I always go to them whenever I have questions!

Once you have upgraded your tickets, make sure they are linked to your My Disney Experience account and start making your theme park reservations! As of today, February 16th, 2022, I can see that all parks have reservations available for your travel dates, so I would not worry too much about getting the parks you want! However, I would recommend keeping an eye on the theme park reservation availability calendar as crowds tend to ramp up at that time of year. When you start organizing your visit, make sure to plan some time to visit EPCOT's International Flower and Garden Festival. The view of EPCOT in full bloom is truly spectacular, and the unique treats are so fun to try!

I hope this was helpful, Jenna, and that you can go back to planning your magical vacation real soon! If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your visit, don't hesitate to reach out. We are always happy to help. You and me, we're in a club now!

    Have a magical, sunny day,
