Hi there, Hannah! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
When you change your
theme park reservation dates, you will only cancel the previous reservation, not the ticket itself. So, once you cancel a reservation, you will be able to make a new theme park reservation with your existing ticket for a new date, assuming that the date is available. You do not need to purchase new tickets to visit on a different date (theme park tickets are nonrefundable).
To view and change your theme park reservations, click the "Ticket and Reservation Details" link under the "My Disneyland" menu on the Disneyland Resort website. I strongly suggest checking the
theme park reservation availability calendar to ensure there is availability on the day you want to visit before making new plans.
If you plan to visit later this fall, be sure to read up on the
Disney Genie service! This complimentary digital feature will create custom park-touring itineraries based on your interests. It will even update throughout the day to help you maximize your time in the parks. Disney Genie+ will be offered at an additional cost and will work like Disney MaxPass worked in the past. You'll select an arrival time for an attraction and skip most of the wait by using the Lightning Lane. We aren't sure of the exact date that Disney Genie will go live other than it will be sometime this fall. Keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for any announcements!
I hope this helps! Have a magical day!
