Hi Matt!
Welcome to planDisney! We're so glad that you found us hEAR. Ooooh, did you know that your visit happens to coincide with the start of the
Lunar New Year Celebration at Disney's California Adventure Park?
Yes, you should be able to upgrade your Disneyland Resort Theme Park tickets from single-day park hoppers to multi-day, one-park-per-day passes. I've actually done this before and the Ticketing Cast Members were super helpful. There are a few factors that might impact your upgrade, but I think you'll be fine as you're planning to visit during the week and not on a holiday. The first is that these upgrades can only be made in-person at the ticket booths in The Esplanade upon your arrival, so plan to arrive about thirty minutes earlier than you initially were to make the switch.
Secondly is that ticket prices vary by date. Sadly I don't have the proper magic mirror to see which tickets you currently hold (ex: a tier 2, tier 5, etc.) so I'm unable to give you an estimate right now for the price difference you'll have to pay to make this upgrade. However, you can get an idea by playing around with the
online ticket purchasing portal (careful, don't actually purchase new tickets!) and then subtracting what you already paid for your hoppers. Pro Tip: Disneyland does not offer refunds on tickets, even if switching from one option to the other. If the price of the new tickets is lower than the price of what you initially paid, ask the cast member if there are any ticketing add-ons, like
Genie+, that would make up for the negative balance.
Lastly, Disney days also now require
Park Pass Reservations, which means you must select which park you want to visit which day with a single-park-per-day admission ticket or which park you want to start your day in with a Park Hopper. Go ahead and with your current park hoppers select which park you'd like to spend your whole first day in, so you'll already have that park locked-in. (If anything needs to change at the time of the upgrade the ticketing Cast Member should be able to assist. And here's the
Park Pass Reservation Calendar so you can keep an eye on it from home.)
I hope this helped plan your Best! Days! Ever! Matt, and if you have any more Disneyland Resort planning questions, We're All Ears!
