Bob from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We purchased two one day tickets as Florida residents. We are required to pick up the tickets at will call to prove our Florida residency. The price is no lower for a Florida resident. We want to get our tickets electronically. How do we do this? Thank

Hi there, Bob! Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with a question for me! I'm always happy to help another Floridian plan a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.

You're right that when it comes to 1-Day tickets, we Floridians pay the same price that our out-of-state friends pay. With that in mind, I decided to have a chat with a Cast Member today to make sure I knew the policy for Floridians using the 1-Day ticket. I'm told that since you purchased a Florida Resident-specific ticket, you'll still need to provide proof of residency to activate it, even though you're not getting a discount.

However, we should still be able to link your tickets to your My Disney Experience account so you can make your theme park reservations before heading to the parks. Now, if you haven't created an account yet, go ahead and do so as soon as you can. The account is free and it will be a big help for keeping track of all of your magical plans.

Got your account up and running? Hot dog! Let's log in and get your tickets linked to it. Hop on over to the "Link Your Reservations and Purchases" page and select "Tickets." You should have received a confirmation email when ordering your tickets that includes a ticket ID number that you'll enter to link them. If you're having trouble finding the number, scroll through the samples on the right to help you locate it.

Once your tickets are linked to your My Disney Experience account, you have the option to use Disney's MagicMobile service to save them to the electronic wallet on your phone, which will enable you to hold your phone up to the touchpoint for park entry. You'll still need to stop by Guest Relations on the way into the park to verify your residency, but with Disney MagicMobile, you won't have to carry an Admission Card or wear a MagicBand if you'd prefer electronic tickets.

Bob, I hope you found this information helpful. Have a practically perfect visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, and please come see us again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
