Sorry to hear you had trouble adding the
Disney Genie+ Service during your ticket purchase process! Currently the only two periods of time that this service can be added on are during that initial purchase or after you scan your ticket to enter a park.
While the Disney Genie+ Service is subject to limited availability, it is fairly rare for it to completely sell out and become unavailable. My suggestion would be to get to the park as early as possible on the first day of your visit, and then as soon as you scan your ticket into a park you can pull up the
Disneyland Resort mobile app and add the feature through a banner that you'll see on the home tab. If you haven't already, you can check the park hours on the
Hours & Events Calendar.
I added the feature in this way during a recent trip and it worked great!
If for some reason you're unable to add it on your first day then you can try again on the next day of your visit using the same method. Plus, if you're staying at one of the
hotels of the Disneyland Resort then you'll be able to utilize
Early Entry and can also add the Disney Genie+ Service on during this time frame as well.
