Hello there, Rebecca!
I'm so glad you followed the force and made your way to planDisney before your upcoming vacation. Your trip will be here faster than lightspeed. I noticed that you're visiting during
The World's Most Magical Celebration- the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort. I turn to pixie dust whenever I see the theme park icons transformed into
Beacons of Magic.
You can find out if you purchased trip insurance through a few different ways:
- See if you can find your vacation confirmation email, which typically comes from a Walt Disney World Reservation email address. The email should include your Resort reservations, confirmation number, and any information about the Travel Protection Plan. No worries (or should I say Hakuna Matata) if you can't find the email because I have two more options to try.
- Visit your My Disney Experience account and click "My Plans" in the drop-down window. You should be able to see a blue hyperlink button to "Modify Reservation", which may show you your travel insurance plans. Since your trip is less than 30 days away, you may not be able to see this option online since you need to add a Travel Protection Plan prior to your final payment, which is due 30 days prior to your arrival.
- If these options don't work for you, I'd suggest reaching out to a trusty Cast Member at the Disney Reservation Center at (407) 934-7639 or (407) W-DISNEY. The Cast Member can confirm whether or not you purchased the Travel Protection Plan.
If you did not purchase the Travel Protection Plan through the Walt Disney World Resort website, you likely won't be able to add it at this time since your vacation is less than 30 days away; however, you may be able to look into third-party options.
Rebecca, I hope all of your vacation wishes come true and that you found these tips helpful. Have faith, trust, and pixie dust that
planDisney is ready to answer any other vacation planning questions you may have.
May the magic be with you!
Melanie
