planDisney! Oh no, I’m so sorry to hear this. I had a similar issue when I returned from visiting the
Happiest Place on Earth a few months ago. I had purchased a gift for my mother, and the Cast Member accidentally left on the security tag. I had already flown home to Texas and given it to my mother before realizing it!
Luckily, I had my receipt and got it figured out fairly quickly! On the receipt, I found a phone number that I could call to speak to a Customer Service representative. I gave them a call, explained my situation, and they offered me some options for how to fix it- one of which was that they sent me a replacement item. If you aren’t able to find a number on the actual receipt, the Cast Member I spoke to said that you can also reach out to Merchandise Guest Services via phone at 1-877-560-6477 or by email at
Merchandise.guestservices@disneyparks.com. Just make sure that you have the receipt handy for proof of purchase and the ability to share a copy should they request it.
