Hiya there, Marissa! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm so thrilled to hear that you plan to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth. I love visiting both the Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort and comparing the similarities and differences between the two. For example,
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is pretty much interchangeable at the two different locations, while
Space Mountain feels like a different experience entirely!
Unfortunately,
Walt Disney World tickets are unable to be exchanged for Disneyland tickets. Though both are "Disney" properties, they operate as two separate entities. The tickets you purchased for Walt Disney World will have to be used in Florida.
But, Hakuna Matata, Marissa! If your plans change or the flight isn't the magic carpet ride you always dreamed of, you still have options for those unused Walt Disney World tickets. You can use the
value of wholly unused tickets towards new tickets for a future date. You will have to pay the difference if your future trip is higher in price, but at least you won't necessarily lose out on your purchase!
Though I know this may not be the "Plan B" you were hoping to hear, I truly believe that everyone should visit The Most Magical Place on Earth at least once! And now, there is even more to compare between the theme parks on the two coasts. The Guardians of the Galaxy have taken over! While
Disney California Adventure Park boasts the thrilling
Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT attraction,
EPCOT just introduced
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, a one-of-a-kind coaster! I was lucky enough to ride this attraction just a few weeks ago and let me tell you.. this ride alone is worth the trip to Florida! I hope you enjoy it!
Have a magical day,
Ashley
