Hi Bernadette, thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
Do you remember the line in the movie Brave, when King Fergus is imitating Merida and says something like, “I want to let my hair flow in the wind as I ride through the glen, firing arrows into the sunset!” I imagine if I was spending the day at Walt Disney World Resort without my husband, I would also want to let my “hair flow in the wind” without a care in the world.
It is possible to share your My Disney Experience account with your husband, however it is not recommended. If your account is logged in on two separate devices at the same time, this could cause the mobile app to function slowly, and possibly create issues when scanning into Lightning Lanes.
If you each have your own individual accounts, “you control your destiny- you don’t need magic to do it.” This will allow you and your husband to manage and create your own plans. Each of you will be able to make individual plans like
Individual Lightning Lane selections and
Mobile Ordering food and drinks. When your husband creates his own account, simply go to your
Family & Friends List in your My Disney Experience account and select “Add a Guest.” Then select the option to add the Guest by name and age. After you mark the age as “18+,” you will be prompted to enter the e-mail address of the account holder. Your husband will receive an e-mail inviting him to plan with you. After you are linked, you can go into your “Tickets and Passes” and reassign your husband’s ticket to his account.
“Some say the will of the wisps lead you to your fate,” and I know they’re leading you to a fabulous visit to Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any future planning questions, come
