Hi Chris! Welcome to planDisney!
It's unfortunate that you were unable to visit
Walt Disney World Resort when you originally planned, but how awesome is it that now you'll basically have your Theme Park Tickets paid for already when you book your next trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth? That really IS magical!
You are right that as long as previously purchased
Theme Park Tickets are completely unused the value of those Tickets can be put toward your next Theme Park Ticket purchase. To apply the value of your tickets to a new purchase your best bet is to speak with a friendly Cast Member at the Existing Tickets line at (407) 934-7639. Since pricing for Theme Park Tickets is date-based just be aware that there may be a balance to pay when you purchase your Tickets for your upcoming trip.
Even though your expired Tickets were probably not in your
My Disney Experience account, your new Tickets will be after you link them. After they've been linked, remember to make your
Theme Park Reservations! I'm not sure how things were on your last trip but now all Guests need both a valid Theme Park Ticket as well as a Theme Park Reservation in order to enter their first Park of the day,
While you're visiting you might think about checking out and purchasing the new
Disney Genie+ Service to really make the most of your magical vacation! With this Service, you and your party will be able to use
"Lightning Lanes" to essentially "skip" the lines for more than 40 attractions across all four Theme Parks! Whether you're a professional Disney visitor or a first-time Guest, Genie+ is sure to help you fit more fun into your fabulous family vacation.
Come back and see us again sometime!
