Hello Tammy!
Thank you for bringing such an important planning question to planDisney today! Planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort can be overwhelming, especially since the phased reopening of the parks last summer. Disney puts the health and safety of all Guests at the forefront of all new policies and procedures. All Theme Parks are operating at limited capacity at this time. All Guests are required to have a valid Theme Park Admission ticket and a
Disney Park Pass reservation for each day they plan to visit a park.
Disney Guests have varying needs when it comes to their admission tickets. Some Guests, like myself, are Annual Passholders, others have a package that includes a room at a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel and theme park tickets. Some Guests have accommodations at an offsite location. This may cause a situation where there are more Guests who have a valid ticket to visit a theme park than there are reservations available for a particular day. When a guest purchases a ticket, they designate the day or number of days they will be visiting. Their ticket is not EARmarked for a particular theme park at that time. Guests are encouraged to check the
Theme Park Availability Calendar before making their purchase and then strongly encouraged to finalize their park reservations after they have made a purchase.
When you made your purchase, the system did not know what parks you were planning to visit. I know during this time of year a lot of Guests enjoy
EPCOT’s International Flower and Garden Festival and may want to visit that park for more than one day. Unfortunately, this is a busy time of year with Spring Break, so the parks with limited availability get booked up first.
If your tickets include the Park Hopper option, I would suggest that you make a reservation for the parks that currently have availability and then hop over to the
Magic Kingdom or
Disney’s Hollywood Studios after 2:00 PM. You can also make a Park Pass Reservation for the parks that have availability and then modify them the day you wish to visit the Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios if slots become available. Guests have plans that change all the time and if someone releases a reservation for a park that is completely booked, you may be able to pick it up. I would recommend getting assistance from a Cast Member so you do not lose the reservation that you already have. You can still make the best of things by spending more time at EPCOT and enjoying the
Outdoor Kitchens and all they have to offer. I hope everything works out for you.
Have a magical time!
Andrea
