I purchased tickets right before the Covid shut down. They say expiration is January 12, 2022. I am assuming this has been extended. I'd like to go in March 2022. Do I need to do anything?

Hello Debbie! Thanks so much for bringing your question to planDisney! That is so exciting to hear that you are in the beginning stages of planning your trip to Disneyland Resort. I just returned last night from a lovely day exploring the parks.

I do know that a lot of the tickets purchased in 2020, were extended because of the parks shutting down. Without seeing your ticket details, I cannot be certain if your ticket expiration date has been extended. I do know though that per the eTicket Terms and Conditions, any wholly unused, expired tickets can be exchanged for new tickets that are of equal or greater value. In order to exchange expired tickets, you will need to visit at Cast Member at the Main Entrance Ticket booth.

Have you tried adding these tickets to your Disneyland account -- either through the website or Disneyland app? If you link them to your account, you should be able to see the current expiration date for them. I know when we had tickets that expired in December 2020, the app did update them with a new extended expiration date.

If you have them added and the expiration date still says January 12, 2022, I would think that was the extended expiration date. Like I mentioned earlier, your option would then be to exchange them for new current tickets at the Main Entrance Ticket Booths. Since you are coming from out of town and currently all tickets must have reservations booked in advance, I would suggest reaching out to a Cast Member with Ticket Services.

Did you know that Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival returns March 4 - April 26, 2022, in Disney California Adventure Park? I love visiting Disney California Adventure Park during these festivals. There is always so much going on between food, art, and entertainment. Our family loves getting the Sip & Savor Passes whenever they are available at these festivals so we can try as many bites as possible!

Debbie, thank you again for visiting planDisney. We hope you have a fabulous stay at The Happiest Place on Earth this spring. Be sure to reach out to us again with any other questions you have on your planning journey!
