Hi there, Zelena,
I’m sorry to hear that one of the members of your party won’t be able to make it. I understand though. This has happened to us before too. In our case, we simply gave the ticket to another friend and they were able to use it instead.
The important thing to remember when giving a Disneyland Resort
theme park ticket to someone else is that it must not have been used first. As long as the ticket is wholly unused, another Guest may use the ticket. The names tied to the tickets help keep straight who is using which tickets. That’s especially handy when a party chooses to split into smaller groups and book separate
Lightning Lane return times with the
Disney Genie+ service or as
individual Lightning Lane reservations. So if you’d like to update the name linked to a ticket, you may call the
Tickets phone line and request to have the change made.
Tony’s Tip: If you happen to have or choose to purchase
MagicBand+ for members of your party, you can use the bands to help make sure each Guest is using the right ticket when entering a theme park or checking in for a Lightning Lane. That way, you only need to set up the ticket/Guest combination once when adding a MagicBand+ to an account in the
Disneyland mobile app and linking it to a specific ticket.
Thanks for visiting planDisney, Zelena. If you have more questions about your visit to the Disneyland Resort, please stop by again.
